As part of the Erasmus+ project, members of AKRP Zagreb participated in international mobility and working meetings hosted by the Red Cross of Bačka Palanka. The aim of this mobility was to strengthen the club’s capacities, increase its visibility and attractiveness, and further develop beach handball as a sport that actively engages young people and contributes to the local community.

During the joint meetings, participants discussed the long-term goals of the project, with particular focus on improving the club’s organisational and promotional activities, developing the knowledge and competencies of sports staff through international mobility, and applying the acquired experience to the organisation of local and national competitions. Special emphasis was placed on establishing a European network of coaches and sports professionals, strengthening the European dimension of sport, fostering international cooperation, and promoting shared European values through sport.
An important part of the discussions was dedicated to volunteering. Participants exchanged experiences on ways to recruit more volunteers and became more familiar with the Red Cross model of work in Serbia and their system for engaging volunteers. The discussions covered the benefits of volunteering, the personal development of volunteers, the acquisition of new skills, and the sense of social responsibility, as well as the importance of encouraging citizens to engage in socially beneficial activities that contribute to the community as a whole.
