For three years now, our club, Detono
Zagreb has been organizing Beach Handball tournament on International Labor
Day. In last two events you could see a lot of kids on the Beach handball
courts near the Big lake of SRC Jarun running around, playing, having fun and
learning basic elements of this young sport(pirouette, in flights) this year’s tournament won’t be any exception.
Just like in past two years, tournament
will be organized for junior and senior categories, this will be a good way for
teams to prepare for the Croatian Championship. Although we can categorized
tournament as friendly, last year’s games showed us that the level of play was
higher than we’d expected. The thing that will make this tournament special is
appearance of the youngest participants(1999. and younger). For the first time,
we’ll organize Mini Beach Handball competition for generations who’ll, we hope,
start their way to success in Beach Handball, right here on our tournament.
We should add that the deadline for
registration is April 27. It would be great if this year’s number of teams
would be larger than last year’s, and it’s very likely to happened.
