Last weekend, in a small Swiss town Einsiedeln, was an international beach handball held on which three Croatian teams participated (Detono Zagreb-both men and woman and team Chemo-profili Zagreb in men competition). Considering the game and the result, all three teams accomplished amazing success by winning a trophy.
Man team Detono Zagreb is this years EBT (European beach tour) champion so they confirmed their last year title. In men competition divided in two groups, the Detonator’s showed during the whole tournament constancy and excellent game by losing only one set in group against team Al’ Sandys.
Even though the schedule was very exhausting, we managed to stay concentrated during the whole tournament and therefore with all rights got the trophy as the best team. This years competition was a bit stronger then the one on last year tournament so with this major victory our success is even bigger. We hope to keep this game level by the next tournament when we are going to participate the next EBT Masters which will be held on Greek island Kerkyra 30.-31.5.2009.-said our Detono Zagreb coach Igor Požeg.

Woman team Detono Zagreb won an excellent second place in a tough competition of Swiss and Hungarian teams losing the finals by an excellent team Playadettes Luzern 2:1 after shoot-out.
What can we say after losing the final game this unfortunately?I am very satisfied with the way i played and the way my team played in general. Still, we have to say that the Playadettes deserved the championship title because they won all of their games. The Chemists also repeated their last year 3rd place losing the semifinals by an excellent team from Germany-Al Sandy’s. Lack of concentration and excellent game of the opponents are the main reasons why Chemo-profili team didn’t make it to the finals and why they won the 3rd place.
I am not happy with the way we lost the finals. However, we were tired and exhausted and therefore lost the game but still we are more then satisfied with our 3rd place-said perspective young player of Chemo-profili Zagreb-Matko Vutmej.
