Last weekend was played demonstrative beach handball tournament, Galeb 2008, that was held in Omiš near Split. 6 teams participated on first beach handball tournament in history of this city (4 male and 2 female teams). Visitors of Galeb camp in Omiš could enjoy beach handball and all what goes with it (attractive movements, in flight goals and many pirouettes)
Dugi Rat, White Boys, RK Kaštela and current Croatian champion Detono Zagreb participate on this tournament in male category. Following results was reached.

For Academic beach handball club Detono Zagreb played following players: Paradžik, Jurić, Copot, Matan, Glavočić, Požeg, Mirazović, Jugović, pod vodstvom Knežević Zvonimira and Pavo Samardžija (borrowed to White boys).
Two female games was played between new beach handball team HC Orkan and Croatian vicechampion Detono Zagreb. Detono Zagreb won both games. Following girls played in Omiš: Kelava, Krivo, Domjančić, Krajcar, Vranešić, Radić, Babun.
After tournament in Casper restaurant was held players party. We must commend organizer which lay oneself out for food and drink (a lot of wine, beer, fish and meat). I hope that we will play Croatian tournament on beautiful beach in Omiš next year.
